Kevin C. Kleister
Kevin C. Kleister is Framme Law Firm’s supervising attorney for New England. He has practiced in a variety of legal areas, focusing primarily on plaintiff’s personal injury and general civil litigation. Other areas of the law in which Mr. Kleister practices include insurance law, family law/divorce, probate, real estate, contract and construction litigation, as well as consumer law and landlord/tenant law. Mr. Kleister was addmitted to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 2002 and New Hampshire in 2012.
Mr. Kleister enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1979, where he served until 1986, when he was honorably discharged after achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was awarded a USAF Commendation medal with three oak leaf clusters during his service. After being licensed to practice in Texas in 1992, he practiced in two large law firms, as well as heading his own full service practice managing four associate attorneys.
Mr. Kleister was part of a litigation team on several large mass tort cases in Texas representing parties suffering personal injury and property damage as a result of natural gas pipeline explosions. In the largest case that ultimately settled in excess of $60 million dollars, his focus was on motion practice and spearheading pre-trial discovery, primarily tendering and defending several hundred depositions of both parties and experts, as well as managing plaintiffs’ responses to over 3,000 written discovery requests. Mr. Kleister has handled several hundred personal injury cases, primarily motor vehicle accidents, and taken a number of cases to jury verdict, both as first and second chair counsel.
